The “Kate”

Posted 5 years ago - by: Kate Faulhaber

Hey everyone! This is just a quick post about what I like to say is my “signature look.” If you know me well, you know I adore a neutral eye look with an extremely bold purple lip. I’ve got a ton of neutral eye shadows of every undertone and every possible purple lipstick known to man, but there is only ONE purple lipstick that can be rocked in my signature look…which most of you will know as well…maybe. Check out how I paint my face in all its Kate glory!

The Kate
Eyes: Obviously I start with my eyes primed and ready to go. Next, I take Urban Decay Sin eye shadow on a flat shadow brush and pat it all over my lid and on the inner corner. Then, I take Urban Decay Naked eye shadow for my transition shade all over a fluffy eye shadow brush and blend that above the crease. Now, I take Makeup Geek Cocoa Bear on a smaller crease brush and blend that just in my crease and a little on my lower lash line. Then, I took a smudger brush with Makeup Geek Corrupt eye shadow and patted that on the outer corner on my eye and softly drew a line in my crease for a subtle cut crease and blended out the black with a clean fluffy brush. I took NYX Brown eye liner and put that on my upper waterline and put NYX Pure White eye liner on the bottom waterline. The top black eye liner is L’Oreal Infallible gel liner in Blackest Black. For the top lashes I combined my two favorite mascaras Clinique Lash Doubling and Maybelline Colossal. Then I put Benefit They’re Real mascara on my bottom lashes.

Face: I first applied my Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 liquid foundation in Classic Ivory with a beauty sponge. Then I doubled up the foundation as a concealer under my eyes and on areas of redness. Then I took my NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat powder foundation and applied that on my T-Zone with a powder brush. For a little bronze glow, I used NYC Smooth Skin bronzing powder in Sunny on my cheekbones. Then I applied The Balm Frat Boy powder blush on my cheeks. I took Urban Decay Sin eye shadow again and used a stipple brush to apply it to the top of my cheekbones.

Lips: Now…for the greatest vibrant purple lipstick…Lime Crime Airborne Unicorn!

Hope this was a little fun to read! Thanks everyone for the support and love! Remember, you can ALWAYS send me requests for posts, I’d be more than happy to help!
