Summer Bonfire Smoke- Coral and Deep Brown Smokey Eye

Posted 5 years ago - by: Kate Faulhaber

I wore this look yesterday and I got tons of compliments. And it was really easy! I think this is a BEAUTIFUL look for going clubbing in the summer and it’s perfect for you blue eyed ladies! But of course all of you can pull this look off. Please keep reading to see how I painted my face!

Eyes: Start with your favorite eye shadow primer. As always, start out with a light brown like Urban Decay Naked and blend that into your crease and a little above as your transition shade. This isn’t a necessary step, but it helps for blending later. Then, take a shimmery coral, warm pink, or orange eye shadow and pack it on the inner 2/3 of your lid. I used MAC Expensive Pink. Then, take your favorite deep brown (I’m using Dark Horse from the Urban Decay Naked palette) and apply it to your outer lid and a little into your crease. If you feel that the dark brown is taking over the coral, then add a little more. It’s all about a balance of both colors and a good blend between the two shades. On the outer corner, add a neutral toned matte dark brown to deepen the look and help with blending. To further blend the transition shade, I took South by Kat Von D and blended that under my brows. On my inner tear ducts, I patted in a little bit of Urban Decay Half Baked mixed with a little bit of Urban Decay Virgin to brighten the eyes. For liner, I used my L’Oreal Infallible gel liner in Blackest Black. I lined both my upper and lower waterlines with my NYX Retractable eye liner in Brown. For my top lashes, I used my favorite combination of Clinique Lash Doubling and Maybelline Colossal mascaras. For the bottom lashes I used my Benefit They’re Real mascara.

Face: I used my favorite liquid foundation Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 in Classic Ivory and blended that it with my ELF Small Stipple brush. I topped it off with a little bit of NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat powder foundation in Nude. For bronzer, I used just a tiny bit of NYC Smooth Skin bronzer in Sunny. My blush is The Balm powder blush in Frat Boy. For the cheek highlight, I used Urban Decay Virgin eye shadow.

Lips: I lined my lips with Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour lip pencil in Innocent and topped it off with Milani Color Statement lipstick in Nude Creme
