Makeup Collaboration: Villains- Queen of Hearts

Posted 5 years ago - by: Kate Faulhaber

Hey everyone! It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? I’m here to present my first costume makeup…the Queen of Hearts! This was a part of a collaboration I did with two other girls who love makeup just as much as I do (I will list their Instagram usernames at the bottom of this so you can check them out, they’re wonderful!)

The inspirations behind each part of the look come more from the Disney version of the Queen of Hearts. The main colors I used in this look are red, black, white and gold. I actually cut and shaped up fake rose petals from the craft store and used false lash glue to attach them to my temple. The rose with the drawn on red paint drops (not blood) represents the whole “painting the roses red” song. The black winged smokey eye is supposed to represent the fact that even though she’s a silly and youthful character, she is still a villain. The gold pointed shape on the black smokey eye was to be a small representation for the birds used during the croquette game in the movie. I also wanted to gather inspiration from the card army, so they’re represented in the lip and with the suits above my eyebrows.

Because this look took me about two hours and I used SO many products, I won’t type out my entire tutorial. I will, however, provide many pictures that I took of every detail of the look I could and list a couple products used to achieve the majority of the details.

I’m sorry that I haven’t posted in a little while, I truly haven’t been very inspired to do any new looks until I was invited into this makeup collaboration. I will be posting some more this week and as always, thank you so much for your support and love! Please let me know if you have any comments, questions, concerns, or requests! Now…OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!
