MAC Eye Shadow Collection

Posted 5 years ago - by: Kate Faulhaber

Just a quick post on the MAC eye shadows I own with some swatches! It’s a small collection that I plan to build eventually, but please enjoy!

1. Yogurt Description: Soft pale pink.

Finish: Matte

This was my first MAC eye shadow. Perfect for a soft everyday eye look that’s different from your typical cream color. Very soft and has good pigmentation. Love this even as a brow bone or inner corner highlight.

2. Satin Taupe Description: Taupe with silver shimmer

Finish: Frost

I totally understand why this is one of MAC’s best sellers! Absolutely stunning shadow. The description is pretty accurate but I’d say there’s also a SLIGHT purple tinged to the taupe color. The texture is phenomenal and it has a strong pigmentation. Perfect for a smokey eye for day or night!

3. Steamy Description: Bluish-green with gold pearl

Finish: Frost

The color is so gorgeous and I love wearing this on my lower lash line with a neutral smokey eye. The pigmentation is okay, but when built up it’s completely opaque.

4. Expensive Pink Description: Pink with duochrome

Finish: Veluxe Pearl

My all time favorite! I wouldn’t say that pink is the right color description…more of a coral pink with gold duochrome. This is just gorgeous on every single eye color. I love this all over the lid with a cool toned brown in the crease.

5. Swish Description: Bright pink with icy shimmer

Finish: Frost

Here’s a gorgeous pink! Not bright as in hot pink, just a standout shade. This is a cool toned midtone pink with a lavender shimmer throughout it. Perfect for what I call the “girly smokey eye” (which I have a post on) which is a pinky purple smokey eye with Swish all over the lid and a mixture of a hot pink and blue toned purple in the crease.

6. Club Description: Red-brown with green pearl

Finish: Satin

Great texture and color payoff! This is a very universal shade…sounds strange, right? Well here’s a cool fact. Depending on the lighting, it can either look like a red-brown or a shimmery teal. Try this quick going out look! Color your eye lid with a black eye liner or black eye base. Then pat Club on top of the liner and blend it a bit into the crease. In your crease it looks like a warm brown shade but the lid looks greenish teal! The easiest bold smokey eye ever!

7. Sumptuous Olive Description: Khaki with pearl

Finish: Veluxe Pearl

I was very concerned when the MUA at MAC told me that I needed this eye shadow…it looked like a warm swampy icky green! But when you swatch it holy poop it’s beautiful! It’s an army-khaki green with gold shimmer! It almost appears like a gold with a little bit more zazz! It’s stunning all over the lid with a warm brown in the crease and a pinky nude lipstick!
