Explore The Coral Reef- Light Summer Eyes w/ a Pop of Coral and Blue!

Posted 5 years ago - by: Kate Faulhaber

Here’s another summer makeup tutorial! This time I toned down the eyes just a little bit only leaving bold color on the lower lash line and kept everything soft and wearable. Hope you all like and check out how I painted my face!

Eyes: Of course I put my Wet N Wild Take On The Day eye shadow primer all over my eyes from lash line to brows and on the lower lash line as well. For the neutral shades, I’ll only be using my Urban Decay Naked palette to keep it easy. I started with Naked and blended that above the crease for my typical transition shade. Then I took Virgin and patted that on the lid with a flat eye shadow brush. With a small crease brush, I applied Buck into the crease. Blend everything in the crease together with a clean fluffy eye brush. Now, for the pops of color! If you’d like, you can take a waterproof white eyeliner and put it on your lower lash line to help brighten the colors and help them last longer. Since I already put eye primer on the lower lash line I’m going to skip this step. I’m starting with MAC Steamy and placing that on the inner third of the lower lash line with a small smudger brush. Now, I’m taking my ABSOLUTE favorite MAC eye shadow Expensive Pink and applying that with another smudger brush on the outer 2/3 of my lower lash line. Now, with the same smudger brush that I used to apply Expensive Pink, I took the tiniest bit of Urban Decay Dark Horse and applied that on the very outer third of your lower lash line and blended up to the very outer corner of your lid. For the upper waterline, I used my NYX Retractable waterproof eye liner in Brown. The bottom waterline has NYX Slide On Glide On waterproof eye liner in Pure White. For the top lash line, I used my favorite L’Oreal Infallible gel liner in Blackest Black and barely winged it out. And my mascara routine is the same as usual: Clinique Lash Doubling and Maybelline Colossal on the top lashes and Benefit They’re Real on the lower lashes.

Face: As always, I applied my Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 liquid foundation in Classic Ivory with my ELF Studio small stipple brush and blended more with my beauty sponge from Ulta. Then, I set it with NYX Stay Matte But Not Matte powder foundation in Nude. For a little more color to my pasty skin, I added a little of my NYC Smooth Skin bronzing powder in Sunny to my cheekbones. My blush is ELF Studio powder blush in Pink Passion and I used a small blush brush to apply it to the back of my cheeks.

Lips: I used my Milani Color Statement lipstick in Nude Creme.
