Everyday Makeup for School and Work using Drugstore Products!

Posted 5 years ago - by: Kate Faulhaber

Hey everyone! It’s been way too long since I’ve posted. But it’s been pretty hectic. I’m happy that my Halloween tutorials were well loved, but I’m glad to be back posting wearable looks for you. Today, I have a day-friendly look that’s perfect for work or school…and it’s with ALL DRUGSTORE PRODUCTS! Yes! I said it! I tend to use a lot of Urban Decay eye shadows and MAC lipsticks, but there are tons of amazing makeup products that you can buy for under $10 at CVS and Walgreens. I also plan to do an evening look with all drugstore makeup, so look for that post soon! Please enjoy the tutorial and I’m so excited to be back writing for you!

Eyes: If you have oily eyelids or have a long day ahead of you, I recommend priming your eyes to help your eye shadow last longer and brighten the color. Now, any neutral shadow duo or trio is acceptable, but I’m using an old favorite the Wet N Wild eye shadow trio in Walking On Eggshells. With a flat eye shadow brush, take the shade labeled EYELID and apply it to your lids. On a fluffy crease brush, apply the medium brown shadow labeled CREASE and blend it into your crease and apply it to your lower lash line. The shimmery cream shadow labeled BROWBONE I applied to my inner corner but if you want a brow bone highlight use that shade lightly. I didn’t apply a liquid or gel liner to my top lash line to make a light eye look but you can apply them if you want. I just applied a black eye liner pencil to my upper waterline and white eye liner to my lower waterline. I applied my favorite thickening mascara on my top and bottom lashes.

Face: Apply your favorite foundation or tinted moisturizer. Conceal dark circles and blemishes. Set with a powder foundation or face powder. The blush I used looks very hot pink, but it doesn’t apply heavy so your cheeks will have the perfect pinky flush. You can also use the same eyeshadow for your inner corner highlight for a cheek highlight.

Lips: I lined my lips with a brown toned nude lip liner than applied a peachy pink nude lipstick. For a glossier finish, I applied a pink lip gloss.
