Disney Eyes- How To Make Your Eyes Look Bigger!

Posted 5 years ago - by: Kate Faulhaber

Hey everyone! This is a tutorial that I get asked to do often. I naturally have somewhat round big eyes, and I do like to accentuate them further. I call this my “Disney Eye.” This look is perfect for everyday wear. It’s easy to accomplish and will look great on everyone since it’s still a neutral look. Please read on to see how I gave myself some magical Disney eyes!

Eyes: As I always do, I started by priming my eyes with Wet N Wild Take On The Day eye shadow primer. Then, I took MAC Yogurt eye shadow (a matte light pink, you can also use any cream or white eye shadow you like!), and patted that all over my eye lid with a flat eye shadow brush. With a small fluffy eye shadow brush, I applied Urban Decay Naked eye shadow to my crease and darkened the outer V of my crease with the tiniest bit of Urban Decay Buck. Next, I blended Kat Von D South underneath my brows. To further open the eyes, take either a light cream, white, or silver shadow with a sheen to it and apply it to the inner corner of your eye. I used Urban Decay Revolt from the Electric Palette. To make your eyes look rounder, apply a shadow lighter than the shadow that you first applied to your lid that has a shimmer to it and pat that on the very center of your lid. For this I used Urban Decay Sin eye shadow. I took my NYX Retractable eye liner in Brown and lined my upper waterline to make my lashes appear thicker. Now, here’s an extremely important step for making your eyes look bigger. WHITE EYE LINER PENCIL! I’m using my NYX Slide On Glide On eye liner in Pure White on my lower waterline to make it look like my eyes are bigger. If you think white is too much of a contrast, try a cream colored eyeliner pencil. This next step is optional, but it helps emphasize the white liner. I took a very tiny smudge brush and applied a little bit of Makeup Geek Corrupt on the outer half of my lower lash line. If you take the black shadow to the inner corner that may close your eyes up a bit. On the inner lower lash line I took the same white eye liner and applied that. For the black liner on the top lash line, I used my favorite L’Oreal black gel liner and practically stamped it close to my lash line with an angled liner brush and I created a small wing on the outer end. Mascara is also extremely important for this look to continue the dolly eye affect. For the top lashes I used my favorite combination of Clinque Lash Doubling and Maybelline Colossal mascaras and Benefit They’re Real on the lower lashes.

Face: My typical foundation and powder routine, with just a bit of ELF Studio powder blush in Pink Passion.

Lips: MAC lipstick in Chatterbox and a little bit of NYX Butter Gloss in Strawberry Parfait.

Hope you all enjoyed! Thanks for the love and support as always.
